Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In my county, two of our Social Studies performance tasks require that the students write a story on a historical figure or Native American tribe. In the past we have made books for the students to use.

This project will supply blank book for each 2nd grade student at my school for one of our performance tasks.

The students love seeing their work published after they have worked so hard.

We will use the extra books for writing about STEM related topic before and after a field trip.

When I have had the opportunity to show parents their child's work, the parent is always delighted and exceedingly proud.
