This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Have you ever found something you really enjoyed using then you realize it needs to be thrown away? Well, that is how my students feel about the materials in our classroom. They are able to throw out the old materials, but are unable to receive the new.
My students live in an inner city community in New Jersey.
They receive free breakfast and lunch on a daily basis provided by the state. Many of my students come from uneven upbringings. Although many face day to day challenges, they still come to school every day ready to learn!
My Project
These materials would be extremely beneficial in my classroom. The current crayons and markers are broken and dried out. These materials can help my students with fine motor skills and their creativity. My students use folders to help them keep their eyes on their own papers during assessments. Unfortunately, they always fall over and cause a distraction. These privacy partitions will help my students keep their eyes on their own work when taking assessments and keep them focused. The magnetic supply caddies will help my students stay organized during centers by keeping their supplies in them.
This project will make a big difference in my classroom.
It will give my students the confidence they need to succeed in first grade. These materials will help my students become more organized, creative, and successful!
