Help me give my students an organized way of collaborating and listening to lessons, and each other throughout the day. Students need this carpet for the classroom to be able to learn and work at their best!
My students are from a large city. With that being said, they are made up of hard working families. They come from families that care about their children and would do anything for them. My students come from all different cultural backgrounds.
The students in my classroom, and my school, come from warm, loving families and most importantly, they come from families that want them to do their best in this world.
My class is made up of 16 girls and 12 boys this year. Within that break down, I have students who are above grade level, on grade level and some who need support to get to grade level academically. I have students who are very confident in their personality, and students who are quiet and could use a confidence boost. All in all, I have a variety of students who make up my classroom. They show a true example of what an IB classroom should look like.
My Project
When students come to the carpet during the day, they need an organized way to be able to sit with each other, but still listen and stay on task. Having a carpet that has squares for each child creates an opportunity for kids to be together and collaborate, but still stay in their own areas and be able to focus and stay on task.
Students need the chance to be with their friends, but still have the opportunity to learn at their best.
Students sitting at their desks all day can make them loose focus. Have another opportunity to have students together, but able to focus is very important.
