My students not only come from a low-income area, they are also working to learn the English Language. Despite all the hardships they have outside of school, they come to school ready to learn.
I teach at a Title I school where 88% of our students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch.
We provide Blessings in a Backpack, where they take a bag of food home on the weekends. Despite so many hardships, my students walk into my classroom with a smile on their face and are so eager to learn. They deserve the materials that will help to push them to their full potential.
Wobble chairs would be a great addition to the classroom, allowing me to continue with my journey to make my whole classroom filled with flexible seating.
Our school motto is, “Learning for all, whatever it takes!” Well this is a part of “whatever” it will take!
These chairs were created for kids who like to wiggle and wobble while they work. Most importantly, still making it a safe seating option because it has a rounded base that allows kids a little movement while they sit.
I want nothing more than to see all students thrive. Getting these wobble chairs would be moving my students one step in the right direction!
