This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the first time you felt damp clay in your hands and turned that clay into something amazing? My students are eager for this experience and NEED the right tools to make quality projects. Disney

My students are eager to learn all about ceramics and pour their heart and soul into their projects.

This class is one of the most popular electives on campus and I know they will greatly appreciate having more tools in the room to create so they will not have down time waiting for a tool. Disney

My Project

I am asking for the following supplies: 8 piece beg. pottery tool set, Serrated edged scrapers and a banding wheel. With more tools more students will have individual sets of tools to work with which will allow my students will be able to create more complex and personal projects. The lack of tools causes students who are eager to complete a project to have down time waiting to share equipment. Students will use the tools for hand building such as creating self portrait bust and there will be a set of tools for each wheel as well so everyone has a chance to be working and fully utilize what is in the studio. This is important because my students ask about getting more tools and do not want to share not because they are self-fish but because they love working with clay and creating their projects.

They do not want to have down time waiting. My students will be excited to have more tools to work with and more time to spend on their projects. This will make for better more challenging projects. My student appreciate all the help we can get in making our program the best it can be! Disney
