Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are just learning their letters/sounds. In addition, other students are learning to blend and work on their phonics. In my room, I have a great reading center/corner which my students simply adore. With plush chairs and an elegant couch, comfort is at the top of the list! However, while there are some books for them to look at/read and enjoy, the reading nook is severely lacking in big books! Large print and over-the-top pictures are always fan favorites! I want to help instill the love of reading with my students. Having a great selection of big books covering a full landscape of topics will be a great starting point!
