My Project

How often did you ask your teacher, "Why can't we do more experiments in class?"

My class asks often to do hands-on experiments to learn about our Units based on the NYS Next Generation Standards.

Our school does not have a Science teacher due to budget cuts. This project will provide all the hands-on materials we need for the Units of Study for the third graders in my class to get up close and personal with the Scientific Method, Force and Motion, Habitats, and Life Cycles. Taking the time to complete experiments makes Science real and increases understanding. The students in the class will be able to follow steps and see an experiment through to the end while building new knowledge.
