My Students

I have the best students! I know each teacher feels this way, but I truly do about my class. I work at a Title I school which means my students are from low-income households. They do not always have a supportive and safe home environment. They face many hardships at a young age. Most of our students come to school hungry and with very little rest.

Although they face these hardships, my students are the most resilient 3rd graders I know!

They come to school every day and try their best in all content areas. They collaborate, use technology, and think critically to reach their goals of becoming grade level students. I am proud to be their teacher and look forward to expanding their minds daily.

My Project

All of my students have access to technology everyday! We use IPADs for various activities and assignments. We recently acquired an IPAD Pro for our classroom to make learning even more interactive and engaging. We are asking for a case for our IPAD Pro to ensure that my 3rd graders hold the IPAD steadily while they are using the IPAD for their learning. During our day i allow students access to our IPAD and other technologies we have in class. Having a case will ensure that my students are working safely and taking great care of our device.

My students are resilient learners who deserve new technology and all the tools that go with it!

An Apple Pencil along with a case is also what we are asking for. My students are great at using the IPAD for a variety of learning APPs and tools. They are around 8 and 9 years old and are learning to perfect their fine motor skills. What a great way to use technology and the Apple Pencil to allow this process to continue! My students can use the pencil during whole group instruction to write on the IPAD and project their learning and thinking onto our whiteboard. The Apple Pencil will also help with their typing skills. They will be able to strengthen this skill with practice!
