Mrs. Fredricks from New Orleans LA is requesting classroom basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
See what Mrs. Fredricks is requestingMy students need articulation and language cards for games and activities in speech therapy (I purchase materials from Teachers Pay Teachers and print on card stock paper and then laminate for long-term use).

Achievement. Respect. Innovation. Service. Excellence. These are the core values that my school strives to instill in our students every day. I provide speech therapy services to 70 students, grades K-8.
These students have speech/language delays and communication disorders that hinder their ability to access the general education curriculum.
They have difficulty comprehending what is said and/or expressing their thoughts, feelings, and ideas.
My students are amazing, precious souls that work so very hard in speech therapy. They encourage each other, cheer for each other and strive to achieve their therapy goals. They love to learn and are so excited about each language unit, book study or articulation drill. They are such a blessing and they make me smile every day!
I will use the card stock paper to make articulation and language cards for my students. These cards will make learning creative and fun. These cards can be used for drill work as well as for playing games like go fish or concentration.
Articulation cards will be used to teach sound production in all areas of the word.
Articulation drills can be boring so it's fun for the students if they can play games such as Go Fish as a stimulus for their target sounds.
Language cards will be used to facilitate increased language skills by providing a fun and creative way to learn vocabulary, correct use of pronouns, plurals, directional skills and the elements of a story.
The table easels will be used for small group activities such as brainstorming descriptive words to describe a picture, naming synonyms and antonyms, and compare/contrast activities.
