This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at an amazing Title I school where 85% of our students come from low socioeconomic status. Most of the families I serve have working parents with little or no education. Comprised of mostly minorities, our school has a spirit of unity that shines through. We are a large family nearing 900 students. The passion for learning is felt when you walk through the doors. I work with children with special needs in grades K through 5th. My students are loving and kind and have real determination. I strive to teach them the skills they need to be active participants in our community.
My Project
With your help, I look forward to expanding my classroom social and emotional resources. The Liquid Sensory Windows and Sensory Ball Set with be utilized as calm down tools in our calm down corner. Theraputty will also be utilized as a tool for calming.
The Mood and Emotion Posters, and Dealing with Feelings book series will be terrific additions to our social skills library!
The Mood Posters and Socioemotional Photo Library will be helpful to be able to visualize what emotions look like in others, and ourselves.
Help me extend social-emotional learning with the addition of these resources!
