Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school psychologist, I work closely with students who face significant challenges in expressing their emotions, self-regulating their behaviors, showing empathy, and understanding others’ perspectives. Many of these students are on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and require explicit instruction and consistent support to develop these foundational social-emotional skills.

Resources such as calming posters, coping skills games, games and therapeutic coloring pages are not just classroom decorations or activities—they are essential tools in helping my students build the emotional regulation and interpersonal skills they need to be successful both in the school environment and in the broader community.

With these tools, I can create a more supportive, engaging, and effective learning space where students feel safe to explore and grow emotionally.
