My Project
This project is specifically designed to help elementary-aged students with various communication disabilities learn to develop effective social skills to express their wants, needs, and thoughts to others in an appropriate manner. Too often many students with communication disabilities struggle to accurately express their thoughts and emotions to others and/or to adequately listening to the ideas and concerns of the others in their surroundings.
Therefore, this project will teach students with various communication disabilities how to use sign language, communication boards, words, and social exchanges to engage in appropriate social dialogues with others using instructional games, structured learning activities, and social emotional learning picture books.
