Help me give my students the ability to hear themselves talk about the books they are reading.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Hum's classroom raised $566
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am trying to get my students to love reading and books. They are a wonderful group of kids but most of them do not like to read. If I get these voice recorders, my students can discuss their books, record themselves and then enjoy hearing themselves sound really smart.
What are they going to talk about?
I will guide their discussions with questions that speak directly to the text, questions that illicit their feelings about the text and finally questions that have them predicting and making inferences which is what good readers do.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
