Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to have books that motivates them to read in Spanish and I don't have any because I'm starting in this school. I want to have games to play with them and teach them the target language through games, that is fun and educational. I want to decorate my classroom in Spanish and I don't have the money to do it. My students deserve a beautiful space to learn.

This kids come to this school with a lot of needs.

This is an alternative school that receive kids from 16 schools in Baltimore County Public Schools. We work with students with problems, bad behavior, autism, ADHD, etc. Most of this kids does not have a good structure at home and here we help them to get all the attention they need and help them grow to take them back to their homeschools later. This is why for me this students are special. I 'm trying with all my heart to teach them how to change the way they are living and give a turn to their lives. In my classroom I'm not only teaching a language, I'm talking about culture and values and why is important to be kind a good resource for our society. I plan to use this materials with them to improve their learning and motivates them to learn a different language. This can help them in the future to get a better job in life and help others.
