Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a diverse population of students, including honors, special education, and English language learners from many different cultural backgrounds and with different educational needs. We are a Title I school, meaning students come from lower socio-economic circumstances. I teach mathematics to three seventh-grade classes yearly, with thirty students in each class. I teach many newcomer students who have just come over, have little to no supplies, and need a lot of support.
Basic supplies are the key to success in the math classroom!
These supplies are to help my students have an inviting and friendly learning environment to learn and be part of my classroom! The rulers will be used for when we need to measure things and for our projects. The storage cart and bags will be used to store things, as a traveling teacher, both are needed to keep our supplies neat and organized as we move from room to room. The binder and paper clips will also be used to keep us organized. The lanyards will be used for bathroom and out of the room passes.
