My Students
Our school serves students from grades PreK to 8th grade in a low income/high poverty school district. We are an IB (International Baccalaureate) school where our focus is to inquire about the world around us and to be internationally minded. Our students come from many diverse cultural backgrounds and it allows us to learn about diversity from each other and to seek more multicultural experiences.
We are a STEM school aiming at providing essential 21st century skills to our students.
My students are also enrolled in a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade partial French Immersion class where they receive instruction in French for a portion of their day. My students thrive to learn about the world, many cultures, and love speaking French!
My Project
As we are returning to school this fall, we will still have to be very careful to ensure that we stay healthy and safe. We will still be mandated to wear masks and practice social distancing. Because I teach several grade levels that come to my French classroom, students have to share technology at times. It means that I need to be able to sanitize the material as well as the desks between each class.
Students in my class need individual earbuds to use exclusively in French class as well as the material necessary to clean the classroom technology so that it can be shared safely.
Since my classroom doesn't have a sink, I want to be able to have the necessary cleaning supplies to keep my students healthy. Cleaning supplies, wipes, hand sanitizer, tissues, and extra masks will help us all stay safe and healthy.
