This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a wonderful class of amazing and unique students with disabilities. They strive to be the best humans they can be while engaging with academics. They have many academic struggles but reading engaging texts with pictures supports their reading comprehension skills.
My students overcome their disabilities to learn and be productive citizens in my classroom, school, and communities.
My students love Science and History and Scholastic News is motivating for them to read and learn from.
Weekly or three times a month, we will receive these newspapers. They are about current events which is engaging and relevant. They have infographics, messages, and reading comprehension questions which are all skills that my students need to learn.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
