My students are special because they are Exceptional Learners. They do not have basic resources as many of their peers. They come to school hungry every day. They have to share all of their belongings at home with their siblings. My students get into trouble at school when they need a boost of energy because they are not able to think clearly.
The items requested will make a difference in my students’ learning by allowing them to focus more on their academics instead of when they will have a snack they will not have to share.
Many of my students try to take home their lunch so that they will have something for dinner at home. My goal for this project is to provide snacks between transitions to my students to help them fight hunger in class. I will provide cold juice for them to drink with their snack. My goal is also to provide the snacks as incentives when they are “caught doing good.” In addition to this, I’m interested in supplying snacks to students who are able to remember many challenging skills from a long summer break.
