This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Dear Potential Donors,

I understand this may seem like a lot.

The resources needed to create a supportive learning environment for our students can be overwhelming. We recognize that there are multiple ways to teach the same concepts, and we strive to provide diverse options for our students. However, these resources come at a cost that educators often struggle to meet on their own. Many of us use our personal funds without hesitation because we are committed to our students' success.

Every item on our list has been carefully chosen to address the unique needs of the students who come for counseling. For instance, I have autistic students who love painting with watercolors, others who enjoy mixing small pieces of playdough to create new colors, and some who find joy in sorting activities. Additionally, we have students who thrive in yoga and mindfulness practices, using breathing balls to help them calm down. Each item holds special significance for my students.

Your support in helping me purchase these resources would be immensely appreciated as I prepare for the upcoming school year. The students deserve the best, and we are dedicated to ensuring their academic and social-emotional learning is treated with the utmost care and value.
