My students need small white boards, privacy partitions and new pencils to practice writing this year.

My Students

Writing is better when it is "green." Individual white boards for each student will greatly cut the cost of paper use within the classroom.

Sweet, hard working and deserving.

These three words can best sum up the students within my classroom. Many of the students within my school come from families with extreme financial need. Thus, all of these students need a classroom where they have all necessary material readily available to them to ensure success.

My Project

Students within my classroom will use white boards to practice handwriting, spelling and sentence structures. Students will be able to use these materials within individual, small group and whole group settings. These materials will serve as quick assessment tools throughout lessons. The privacy partitions will be used during formative and summative assessments to ensure that each student has his/her own personal working space. The magnetic shelves will be placed on the white board to hold books that go along with daily lessons to inspire students to try multiple types of literature.

Having access to these tools will certainly improve student desire to participate in activities and will help students as they begin to develop a sense of responsibility in creating their own pieces of work.
