Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our town is nicknamed Blowmont, that's because it is so windy and cold especially during the winter season. It saddens me that so many of our students come to school without the necessary clothing to help keep them warm during this season. I have seen children stop playing at recess because they are too cold to continue playing.
Kids should be kids and that means that at recess they should have the opportunity to play, have fun, and not have to worry about having the correct attire.
This is why we are in need of obtaining some gloves and beanies to keep our kids warm while they are outside during their breaks.
