Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Creative STEM Toys are a great way to ease children into their learning day. These materials will help my students develop skills needed for problem solving in real-life situations. My students need hands-on learning activities that will spark their creativity and innovation. Aside from creativity and innovation, my students will be able to socialize and strengthen their conversation skills by engaging in daily academic discourse through play.
Girls are underrepresented in STEM; therefore, they need ample opportunities to explore and learn how to design and build through the help of the engineering design process.
My only hope is for my students to gain knowledge and confidence in the sciences. I hope that this empowers them and helps lead a pathway towards careers in STEM.
