This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world. ~ Albert Einstein
I want to stimulate my students imagination through Play-Doh!
I teach 25 energetic, ready to learn kindergartens.
For most of my students, this is their first school experience, and I want for it to be a memorable one! Kindergarten sets the foundation for the rest of their educational careers, and your donation will help me maximize their experiences. Our school is located in South Los Angeles, CA. We are a 100% Title 1 school, which means all of our students qualify for free meals.
My Project
How awesome would it be to have a creativity center in a classroom? I would love for my kindergartners to have a place in the class where they can build anything, feel creative, and build fine motor skills all at the same time! Play-Doh allows for that, it is something that has no boundaries, no age barriers, no gender specific roles, no rules. We need Play-Doh tools too. What gets created is really up to each individual and the more different something is - the better!
I see how excited my students are when they get to play with one can of Play-Doh in the beginning of the year.
I would like the excitement and creativity to last the whole year. This project will allow for even more creativity because we will have enough Play-Doh to allow students to mix up colors and be more imaginative.
