My Students

My fifth graders are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things!

Fifth grade is a pivotal and exciting year of learning and prepares them for middle school and beyond.

I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year.

My Project

My classroom needs a new, whole group classroom rug. I am moving to a new classroom that does not have one. A rug would allow my students to move up front for all instruction. We will also use the rug for partner and group work. A classroom rug is a great place to come for extra help or to be fully engaged in the lesson.

A classroom rug also helps to foster interaction between students and teachers and allows for students to gather at that spot to hear their favorite book read aloud.
