Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My culminating "Class of 2024" is a very diverse group of students. Although 100% of my students receive Title I funding, they are different in their passions, expectations, life experiences, and exposure to extracurricular activities. Like my former students at my previous school, the majority of my students are unable to participate in after-school sports. Physical education class is the only time they are able to play organized sports.
Give my students an opportunity to join Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers as they pursue another World Series and develop an understanding & possibly a love for baseball.
The gloves, balls, and bats will give these eager, future big leaguers an introduction to America's pastime by learning the fundamentals of hitting and catching.
I hope you'll consider donating as we hope to foster a love for baseball and perhaps find the next Dodger great like Shohei, Jackie, or Fernando.
