Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school is a Title I-funded, at-risk school, with a population of over 70% English Language Learners. Our school provides free breakfast and lunch for all our students. At our school, we work hard to accomplish our dreams and goals, and most importantly, become successful. Students come in from every walk of life imaginable. Upon walking into our classrooms, you will see a diverse group of students who share the same love for school and friendship.
While all the students are so different, they all share the same strong desire for learning and success.
Our students strive for greatness every day, regardless of where they come from. Students spend hours in the classroom and it should always be comfortable and well-structured for them.
This project is focused around math and our differentiated learning groups. The floor cushions will provide an additional comfortable learning space. Storage bins have been an amazing tool for us to manage small group time in an efficient manner. Timers are necessary for efficiency. Sleeve protectors help us protect our work and folders will help keep us organized!
Magnetic math tools will allow us to better visualize math lessons.
This project will give each of my students an opportunity to grow closer with their classmates and feel confident in themselves while learning new things
