For the past two school years, students (and teachers) were instructed to maintain social distancing. With desks spread apart, this made group projects and collaboration between students difficult. If teachers assigned group work, students could only work with their neighbors and up to 4 students. Some students have requested to work with other classmates to allow them to work with others, but were unable to because of contact tracing.
Providing a collaborative space to work will help students reconnect with each other and bring back a sense of normalcy.
Students are once again encouraged to work collaboratively with the whole class and use the library's larger work tables to write down all their wonderful ideas.
Providing collaborative activities, like puzzles and games, will allow our students to destress and have some fun. To be teenagers once again.
