This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarteners LOVE playing games. They are also beginner readers who need to further develop sight word recognition. Word games equal success as the kindergarteners learn to read.

Who are my kindergarteners?

They are a dynamic group of students who enjoy learning. Each one is unique composed of diverse cultures, languages, socioeconomic classes, and abilities. Since my students have a wide range of abilities, it is important to provide diverse learning centers. The games I selected for the class, offer various levels of difficulty to challenge every learner.

My Project

As children explore and play, their brains are making connections that help them understand the world around them. Word games are wonderful tools that children get excited about playing. They build important problem solving skills. Games are developmentally appropriate and increase concepts such as alphabet, building words, and phonemic awareness.

Children enjoy playing games and showing the completed product to others.

It is such a big accomplishment! My AWESOME kindergartners greatly need new word games and your donation would not only give them new resources, but would also foster reading, alphabet and problem-solving skills. Thank you for your time and consideration!
