Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In my class, I have 28 Kindergarten students. 28 excitable, energetic, and enthusiastic students. The school is located in an urban area with students who come from diverse backgrounds. Despite the many challenges we face. I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with a creative and meaningful learning experience.

My Project

Kindergarten is such an important grade because this is where students learn to read. I want my Kindergartners to have a love of reading. This can be done by exposing them to books of all topics and genres. These books will be great motivators because they are fun and educational.

In my class, we are working on creating a larger library filled with engaging books that can help foster the love of reading.

These books will be used in class as read alouds followed by activities and for library centers.
