My Students

We are preparing our students at a young age to be leaders at home, school and in their community. My students come from low-income families. Some of my parents work more than one job just to meet basic needs. We do not ask for anything but that their students come ready to learn. I have an incredible love of learning and try to instill that love in my students.

They may not be able to control everything in life, but they can escape into learning and being hands-on in their education.

In our classroom, we are constantly growing and evolving. We are striving to do our best, taking chances, making mistakes and learning!

My Project

We are looking to add a variety of read aloud books to our classroom. Read aloud books can add so much to our class. Often kids are not read to enough and every kid enjoys listening to a story. We would use these stories to improve comprehension. The variety of books would give us a chance to discuss many topics.

The interactive read aloud allows for a more in-depth conversation and can direct our lessons.

This leads to higher level discussion. These lessons can improve our students performance as well as give our students a life long love of books.
