My school was affected by a flood in 2014, during which the staff and students banded together to still complete the school year. Our diverse group of students shared rooms and supplies to pull together and have a great year. Now that we are beginning fresh in our own room, we are in need of some basic needs in our classrooms. Since then we have faced another tragic situation with the water crisis. Many of our families are facing the burden of searching for safe water for their children. We try to make sure the students have everything they need at school so we do not have to ask our parents for help when they have enough on their plates. We are teaching our students using Leader in Me and this project is a great way to show how people can work together to complete a goal!
