My Project

Our school, which is bursting at the seams, has a large population of English language learners. About one-third of our students are in the process of building English proficiency; we are home to students from around the world. Some of our students come to us without prior formal schooling. Others have a strong academic background in one (or two!) languages and are focused on building English vocabulary and language.

Students will be able to select books from this collection during independent reading time.

There are award-winning picture books and graphic novels. Creating and maintaining a rich and varied classroom library is an ongoing process. These books will provide a great base on which to build based on individual student interests.
