My Students

Do you remember how it felt to curl up on a comfortable couch or chair and read a book? My students have not discovered the great feeling you get from reading a great book while relaxing on a comfortable carpet. Help me show the children the joys of reading.

I teach second grade at a public school in an impoverished and high crime area in urban Pennsylvania.

I have a class of students who love to read. They are very sweet and everyone who meets them falls in love with them. They are constantly requesting to go to the reading area.

My Project

My students need a classroom carpet to sit on while they read. My second graders love to read books. I also enjoy reading to them several times a day. It would be my great joy to give them an engaging and comfortable area to read books. A comfortable carpet will be a wonderful addition to our classroom and reading area.

My students would be so appreciative to have a carpet in their reading area.

They are a wonderful group of kids and I want only the best for them. Please make my students excited about going to the reading area.
