Students often find reading to be a chore due to the demands of their in-class assignments. Here, in the library, we are working to make reading FUN again! We have allotted time every nine weeks where students are allowed to spread out around the library in our comfy seats to read! We play relaxing music and enjoy books as entertainment rather than work!
By having this projecy funded, I will finally have enough seats for EVERY student in all classes!
I hope to also replace some fan-favorite picture books to go along with our reading zones! I know students would be thrilled to see new seating options come to the library! This also helps create a safe space for students to cool down and take a moment from their hectic days at school. In the library our goal is simple, to encourage students to find books of interest and discover for themselves how enjoyable reading can be!
