This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The Drama Club is a new organization that was formed to bring students together that share an interest in theatrical arts. The club promotes learning about theatre through activities, trips, and productions that embrace and empower students by interacting with others and challenging their abilities to be imaginative, creative, and innovative.

The new drama club students are so enthused about being onstage and performing.

They love the theatrics that I bring to each workshop. They are ready to let the world know that the performing arts are alive!

My Project

Performing Arts is alive at B. Elementary this year! We have put on a fantastic Winter Showcase for family, friends, and students. Our ultimate goal is to provide our school with theatre equipment to put on productions year-round without over exceeding school funds. These pipes and drapes will be useful to create a theatre space in our gymnasium. Students will learn how to transition on and off stage using the pipes and drapes. They will learn more about cues and sound effects. Those materials will be an excellent start for our students to get the ultimate theatre experience to put on a school production.
