My Students
My students are a great group of kids. They are 9th graders with Autism and other developmental disabilities or special learning needs. They need more than a teacher who tells them what to do, they need an adult who will listen to them and work with them on their individual needs.
In the words of Temple Grandin, "Kids have to be exposed to different things in order to develop.
A child’s not going to find out he likes to play a musical instrument if you never exposed him to it."
My classroom assistant and I create a positive and interactive learning environment where our kids know that they are welcome, they are loved, they are appreciated, they are safe and they can succeed.
My Project
My students are really hardworking writers. They love creating stories, writing poetry, and writing about their research. They love seeing their published work in our classroom binders and being able to read them when they want. This printer would help them publish instantly.
A new classroom printer will help my students become published, classroom authors.
Having a new printer in our classroom will help students to instantly have their work. With having restricted social interactions at school due to Covid, having this printer right in our room would be not only helpful but would keep us safe as well.
