This project will take on several dimensions. The overall project is to help students get access to large scale colored printable materials. One aspect of this project is for us to be able to create a large scale science book which entails pictures of students and creativity of what they have done in class and outdoor foreign.
Also often times students get homework/projects to complete however they say that they weren’t able to print what they created because of the lack of access at home…I intend to collaborate with our schools current homework/ afterschool program to give the students a time slot to print out their created projects so we can have them ready and fully prepared for their due date.
Also, I selected this wide scale printing option so we can have very large portraits of our students who are performing on top for middle school on a monthly basis. Students definitely love to be celebrated and what better way to celebrate them than to have a poster titled student of the month or something to that effect posted. This will create positive competition among group because they want to be displayed in this caliber. Within this school year I’ve started similar initiative to this however, my photos were done in black-and-white and very small scale so it didn’t really the level of traction I wanted. They would ask why is it so tiny? Why couldn’t it be in color?
A student did her prom campaign and printed a very large scale poster of herself and it gained attention of the entire middle school body. I just think this would be a stimulus within our education system to push students to get rewarded and cut the personal cost of me outsourcing monthly prints.
