We are an elementary school located in the neighborhood of Roslindale in the beautiful city of Boston. At our school, we are proud to be a Boston Public School; our active and close-knit community of students, parents, teachers, and staff make our school a wonderful place to learn and grow.
Our school is becoming a fully inclusive school.
We strive to serve both children with and without disabilities in every classroom. We are also a diverse school with 19 languages spoken.
My Project
A new kitchen will give my students many opportunities for dramatic play. When children pretend, they try on new feelings, roles, and ideas. They stretch their minds along with their imaginations. Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning including literacy and numeracy skills, decision making, problem solving, The language in dramatic play is rich, purposeful, and authentic. Students have the opportunity to act out what they experience or observe in their own lives.
My students need a new kitchen to develop social skills, oral language, responsibility, organization, and executive functioning.
My students may be a parent, performer, chef, politician, clothing designer...Help them be anything they want when they grow up!
More than a third of students from low‑income households
