Help me give my students dramatic play items such as baby dolls, veterinarian kits, tool sets, and grocery store so that they can grow both socially and emotionally.
I teach Pre-K in a rural district. Many of my students come from low-income homes and 67% receive free and reduced lunch. School is the best part of a lot of my students' day.
Despite some of their circumstances, I have some of the best students in the world.
Every day they come in ready and excited to learn. I see potential and greatness in all of my students and I want to make sure that they are getting the very best whenever they enter my classroom.
My Project
Dramatic play is very essential for Pre-K students. My students love dramatic play but our classroom does not have a lot for them to play with. I have seen how dramatic play has positively impacted my students and it would really benefit them to receive more items so that their imaginations can continue to grow. We would really like items such as baby dolls, veterinarian kits, took kits, grocery store, and tea sets.
Dramatic play will allow my students to grow both socially and emotionally.
A child will learn how to take turns, share responsibility, communicate, use symbols, problem-solve, sort out fantasy and reality, relieve emotional tension, feel more powerful, and also develop vocabulary through dramatic play.
