My Students

At my school, my three and four-year-old students are of mixed backgrounds (white, including many Polish, Spanish and African-American), and they are eager learners. They just need the tools to help them explore their world.

Many have hardworking parents who desire their children have an enriched Pre-K experience.

The students are well behaved and attentive. They are inquisitive and have a desire to learn. Words can't describe what a three/four-year-old is capable of. They are like sponges at this age! Their brains absorb everything.

My Project

My Pre-K class is studying water. We use water in many different ways at home. We use water with these safe appliances which include a coffee maker and mixer. We will have plenty of groceries to stock our cabinet and meal times will be so exciting when our dramatic play center is a home. They will love dressing up like a firefighter, doctor or mail carrier. They can even make letters for friends and put them in the mailbox! This will encourage writing and drawing in the writing center. Number recognition is important. A push button phone will help and be fun for making phone calls to friends and family. When we turn our dramatic play into a flower shop, the cash register will come in handy! Students will use cash to buy flower arrangements and plants.
