My Project
Our students have thrived in their studies with the use of technology. Our students have recently received a document camera and projector through the generosity of DonorsChoose donors. Now, we are hoping that they can have a 21st century learning experience with a projector screen, presentation clicker, and audio headphones.
Throughout our school day, we plan to use our projector screen and presentation clicker to project learning materials, display student work, and annotate the screen digitally.
Many of our students who are multilingual or have exceptionalities benefit from additional visual supports during lessons. Being able to provide them with these learning experiences is essential for creating an inclusive learning environment.
For example, being able to highlight critical features through annotations with a presentation clicker/laser pointer will support my ability to provide scaffolding and accommodations to my students. For example, during our instruction, we can conduct shared reading lessons where the entire class can digitally annotate together. We also will be able to use the various functions on the presentation clicker to zoom in on expandable images.
The headphones will similarly enable us to provide important accommodations that will provide access to our curriculum. Students will use these headphones daily in order to have access to multimedia or audio books on their Chromebooks.
With a projector screen, presentation clicker, and headphones, we will be able to differentiate our instruction in so many ways! As we work to create engaging and motivating lessons in our inclusion program, I know that these materials will be able to support our students' learning. They will be essential tools that will enable our students to access the curriculum in an engaging and interactive way!
