My Project

We aim to significantly enhance the physical activity, social engagement, and overall well-being of our students during their designated recess periods. Investing in diverse and safe equipment is essential for creating a vibrant and inclusive play environment that promotes holistic child development.

Our current recess equipment inventory is limited, aging, and in some cases, poses safety concerns.

This scarcity leads to:

Limited Engagement: Many students are left with few options for active play, leading to boredom, disengagement, and increased sedentary behavior during recess.

Safety Concerns: Worn-out or broken equipment can lead to preventable injuries.

Lack of Variety: The existing equipment does not cater to the diverse interests, abilities, and developmental stages of all our students, hindering imaginative and collaborative play.

Increased Conflict: Limited resources often result in disputes over equipment, detracting from the positive social aspects of recess.

We propose acquiring a comprehensive range of new recess equipment, carefully selected to promote active, creative, and inclusive play. The acquisition of this new recess equipment will yield numerous benefits for our students and the school community:

Enhanced Physical Health: Encourages greater physical activity, reducing sedentary behavior and promoting cardiovascular health, coordination, and motor skills.

Boosted Academic Performance: Research shows that active recess improves focus, attention span, and classroom behavior.

Providing students with access to high-quality, diverse, and safe recess equipment is an investment in their physical health, social skills, academic readiness, and overall happiness.
