Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

This year I have a great class. My classroom has a diverse group of students that comes from different races and socioeconomic groups. They are a very loving and special group of kids that match my level of enthusiasm and excitement for learning every day.

My class is the best class that any teacher could ask for.

They are eager learners and love having the opportunity to peer teach or to show what they have learned. Even though we have our ups and downs, we always work it out. This has been my best class ever.

My Project

As a teacher, I have always had indoor recess during times of inclement weather but, I haven't ever had to be concerned or policed their play. Now, because of the COVID-19 virus, during indoor recess we have to make sure that our students remain socially distant and play at one activity for the 20 minutes in the event of an exposure and we have to contact trace.

Having these dramatic play sets will allow my students to remain socially distant and use their imagination while playing during indoor recess and use the experience during our writing time.

Have an additional play area will give my students another area of play to choose from and will allow them to remain socially distant and healthy.
