This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a low socioeconomic background and have limited resources to use both in and out school. At the same time, my class is full of eager learners who enjoy experiencing new opportunities and using new technology in order to learn. Our school resources are limited and we are not provided with all necessary material at all times because of budget. These students are deserving of extra materials that are not provided by the school. Many of the materials and supplies needed for the classroom and students are bought by us, the teachers. Many of my students try very hard and are committed to their education; by donating to their cause it would help them to be successful learners.

My Project

My students will be given the opportunity to play interactive and educational games that go with our curriculum during Center time. Tablets will allow partners to practice reading, writing and math in an exciting and engaging way. It will help me reach all of my students. There are so many amazing apps, which my students can benefit from.

Center time is one of the most fun, educational times in our day.

Students love doing fun games and activities to practice their reading, writing and math skills. Center time allows them to learn communication skills as they work with each other. Tablets would be a great way for students to use online resources and games to practice skills independently or in a small group with me.

Tablets in our classroom will also help provide visual and audio support for students.
