My Project

My Title One Kindergarten classroom is transitioning into Full Day this year. This gives my students extra time to engage in different types of play-based learning and can develop their imagination while gaining essential skills. I am looking to get a dramatic play area and STEM activities that allows children to explore themselves and their surroundings. Having this in my classroom will not only allow them to focus on their creativity and communication skills, share thoughts and ideas, but enhance their social and emotional skills as well!

Kindergarten is such a special time when children learn to love school and learning.

I am thrilled that we can incorporate play into our curriculum again!

As teachers we have to use our own money to supply our kids with extra opportunities to learn and grow. Getting this dramatic play area with play food, pots, pans, and dishes and STEM activities that encourge using critical thinking skills in building, will fit their needs and help them exceed.

The playdough will help build those fine motor muscles to help us be better writers. The “Twist ‘n Write pencil” will help students that are having difficulties holding their pencil. The "spacemen" that we will use in our daily writing centers will help them with proper writing skills and make writing fun.

I love my students because they are eager to learn and have new and exciting experiences. The activities I have chosen will allow my students to think critically, socialize, and still learn while having recess or classroom activities and fun doing so!
