The students at my school are diverse learners in many ways, and they attend a Title I school in the inner-city, where free and reduced-price lunch and breakfast are offered to a majority of the students.
My students are English learners, including newcomers, struggling learners, and students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and learning difficulties.
These young scholars live in a high-poverty area and come from disadvantaged circumstances, but they do not let that stand in their way. My students love learning new things every day in school, and they are fascinated by interactive learning that sparks their creativity and imagination.
My Project
I am requesting 2 sets of Hand2mind VersaTiles Literacy Classroom kit to help my scholars learn and enhance their standards in literacy. Each set contains 8 answer cases, 4 student copies of 6 different targeted areas, and 1 teacher guide.
These 2 sets of literacy kits provide engaging and fun learning ways to improve my English Learners and Newcomers' targeted areas in comprehension and foundational literacy skills.
With 2 sets of these literacy kits, 16 students can work on different skills at the same time. These kits also allow students collaborate in groups. In addition, it builds students accountability for their learning.
