Help me give my students a classroom filled with fun math fluency games like Battleship and Froggy Fractions that will build their confidence. Help me show my students that math can be fun again!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This generation of students has their unique struggles. Standardized testing has dominated their lives and their experiences with Covid have directly and negatively impacted how they view school and education. These two realities have taken the joy of coming to school, out of my students I want to show them that school can be fun again and that you do not always have to be staring at a screen in order to learn something. With the games Hasbro Gaming Battleship Classic Board Game, Proof! Math Game - The Fast Paced Game of Mental Math Magic, and Multiplication & Division Bingo, the whole class will be able to spend the day learning new concepts through playing! With the games, Logic Roots 2 STEM Toys for Boys and Girls, Froggy Fractions Math Games, Schylling Classic Tin Kaleidoscope, Logic Roots Pet Me Multiplication and Division Game, Classic Mancala Game, Simon Micro Series Game, Fraction War Math Game, LogicRoots Big Catch Division Game with Remainder, Speed Cube, and Edupress Math Splat Game, I will host a game day at the end of every unit so that the students can have time to synthesize what they have learned, before moving forward to the next unit. This way, we can keep the momentum of positive learning while also giving them a well earned brake from rigorous instruction. I will also use all of the games for interventions, for differentiated instruction, and for centers. Thank you for your donation!
