This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are awesome and we are always busy making things in the art room. However, everyone makes art at different speeds and often groups of students will find themselves done early in a class. Instead of doing a solo assignment I would like to be able to give my students board and card games to play when done with assignments.
Playing games with classmates helps builds communication skills, social skills and sportsmanship, all which are skills students will need in their future.
These board and card games would give students opportunities to not only play together but to talk, communicate, and practice fair play.
Having a game library would allow students to have different options when they finish early and help them build those crucial communication and social skills.
