Let's Plant More Tea!

Help me give my students these raised beds to add to our mamaki tea garden.

My Project

We have been trying to grow mamaki, which is a tree that the leaves are used as medicinal tea. We tried to plant them in the ground and they didn't do too well. Then we found these 2 foot tall raised beds and planted in there. They took off and are doing awesome! We need two more of these beds to add to our mamaki garden so that we can have more leaves to dry for tea.

Finding the right tools for each project on the farm is probably the most important factor that leads to success.

These raised beds will enable us to be successful mamaki growers since our land is not conducive to in ground planting for many things. Mamaki tea is refreshing and has many medicinal properties. We hope to be able to grow enough mamaki to help supply our community.
