My Students

I will see approximately 350 K-6th grade students throughout the school year. These students will come to the STEM classroom 2 times a week for 45 minute sessions. We are a Title I school that has almost 90% free and reduced priced lunch rate. I have students that have been affected by the Flint Water Crisis. Even though my students have many socioeconomic hardships against them, they persevere. They come to school wanting to learn and to be better every day. My students love to learn through collaboration. They are eager to learn and to challenge themselves. My students are caring and work well together.

My Project

The 350 students that enter room 104 are creative problem solvers who love to be challenged! Twice a week they will enter our STEM classroom ready to work together to solve real-life problems. The students will be able to use the engineering design process using the materials requested through this project.

All of the students work hard and bring a unique quality to our classroom atmosphere.

The students will be expected to work collaboratively. Each one will contribute many wonderful ideas to group projects they will be working on.

The materials will encourage the students to work throughout the engineering design process. The STEM classroom will become their own classroom that is driven by their ideas and hard work.
